“Fight the good fight of faith [in the conflict with evil]; take hold of the eternal life to which you were called, and [for which] you made the good confession [of faith] in the presence of many witnesses.” 1 Timothy 6:12 (AMP)
My faith has been tried; I’ve felt like it died; at times I’ve even laid it to the side….and yet the Lord reminds me today to Fight The Good Fight Of Faith!
Faith certainly feels like a fight a times (staying in faith that is)…. because my flesh is so accustomed to worrying, wondering, wandering, and doubting……a bit of everything – short of throwing a tantrum. Lol
When you seek God out for something and you’re trusting him (from your standards at least) – to only receive more bad news, it can be quite overwhelming!!!
Without sharing all of my struggles to STAY IN FAITH…….I am encouraged to keep trusting and believing God and the power of His Word!
I’m encouraged because I see it’s a fight between the flesh and Spirit, and it is the Father’s desire for us to gain power over the flesh, causing the Spirit to WIN– every time!
“For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.” Gal 5:17 (KJV)
Most of all, I’m encouraged because he’s shown me – Me, Hallelujah!!!
That when I become overwhelmed, I become overtaken by the enemies tactics; because I keep getting up from the seat!
“And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:” Eph 2:6 (KJV)
He’s called me to govern from the heavenly seat, for this is my place of ruling and reigning in the earth realm.
My surroundings don’t always look or feel heavenly, but the TRUTH is – the Spirit within me is! The TRUTH is – I’ve been made to sit in the heavenly place, a place where unbelief does not exist!
Prayer: So Father I wrap my Faith in your existence this evening. I wrap my faith in your all powerful, all knowing, omniscient existence today. For you can do anything but fail, Hallelujah!
Thank you for loving me into Truth
Thank you for shining your light on my unbelief
Thank you for giving me something to hope and look forward to Hallelujah!
God you’re Great, and greatly to be praised!
I thank you that our natural circumstances don’t affect our heavenly position in You. I thank you for adorning us with the grace to sit in the heavenly place with you!
Give us the strength, power, and confidence to stay seated in You!
Remind us that we don’t owe our flesh anything but our faith, for it’s impossible to please you without it.
Help us to win the war within, by becoming one with you in the Spirit! I decree that we will be a mighty people of faith, a force to be reckoned with – in the name of Jesus!
Strengthen us to continue fighting the good fight and to live in the faith of our confession! I bless you for being a Good Good Father, you’re worthy of all our praise! Thank you for choosing us to be yours and to manifest your kingdom in the earth. It does not yet appear what we shall be – YOU GET ALL THE GLORY, in Jesus name I pray, Amen.
