I grabbed this scripture & prayer prompt from my Bible app this morning. I needed some assistance in connecting in prayer today 😆 Thank you Bible app, for being readily available!
Anywhoo… as I read the text and reflected, I began to pray:
Thank you for your commandment of courage Lord! Thank you for showing me that you’re with me. Thank you for highlighting your strength in the midst of my dismay or me being afraid of anything. Thank you for reminding me that you are greater than any fear, any stress, any anxiety, any frustration, or overthinking.
This scripture is a reminder; an encouragement. This scripture is about training your mind to receive something different – Greater!
You’ve allowed your mind to receive the low level, negative thoughts for long enough
Be encouraged to use your faith to combat the doubt!
Try another way!
In 1 Corinthians 12:31, the word says there is a need to pursue “a more excellent way”…
There’s a more excellent way to see
A more excellent way to respond
A more excellent way to hear
A more excellent way to respond
A more excellent way to engage
And it’s not the default of your fears
Nor the default of your inadequacies
But it’s in the the strength of your knowing, God is with you – wherever you go!
That He will not abandon you
That He has commanded you to be strong & courageous as you face your day
As you face your thoughts
As you face your decisions
Rest in His command, and believe Him for greater.
In Jesus Name I pray, Amen
