Whether it’s working out, calling someone I haven’t talked to, blogging, doing the dishes, cleaning the bathroom, or recording a podcast….. I hear JUST DO IT!
In my therapeutic tool box, I know I can set timers or alarms to get things done. I can make a “to-do” list and actually cross things off. I can journal, which will help me take the time to process what it is that has me in a shitty mood. And I can also just sit with myself, in my emotions and I focus on what I “HAVE” vs. what I don’t – or what I feel like I’m lacking.
In that mind, I recognize that I have today (this moment), I have my voice (my sound, my declaration), I have my choice (I get to CHOOSE), I have an opportunity to use my faith, my voice, my declaration and authority to bless me and others – so I can get an opportunity to BE Great and Give Great! Thank you Lord!
“And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” Romans 12:2 ( KJV)
“And do not be conformed to this world [any longer with its superficial values and customs], but be transformed and progressively changed [as you mature spiritually] by the renewing of your mind [focusing on godly values and ethical attitudes], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His plan and purpose for you]. Romans 12:2 (AMP)
Prayer: God I thank you for an opportunity to write, an opportunity to connect with you, an opportunity to come to you. Thank you for reminding me of my power, my choice, and my voice. Thank you for reminding me that I get to choose my thoughts and not be overtaken by them – hallelujah! In my time of weakness Lord, don’t let my mind take me out. Let my mind be a place I want to be, not a place I’m constantly trying to escape! Build my faith and help me to trust you for it all! I ask that you please forgive me, for all the sins I’ve committed by thought word and deed, ever since the last time I asked you to forgive me. Bring me back into alignment and strengthen me for the task of service, in your name. Connect me with the right people, places and things, and help me to give in greater measure than I receive. Most of all Lord, help me to Just Do It, whatever “it” is, in Jesus name I pray Amen.
